Carl Icahn Rips Nj Senate President Sweeney, Gov. Christie Vetoes Casino Bill

Carl Icahn is ready to place a ‘for sale’ register at the Trump Taj Mahal, but before the Atlantic City home goes into the MLS listings, the billionaire investor is first using some right time and energy to lambaste State Senate President Stephen Sweeney (D).
The Trump Taj Mahal will not be the main Trump Entertainment Resorts brand, presuming billionaire Carl Icahn will get someone to purchase the Atlantic City resort.
Writing on his personal site, Icahn claims associated with Democrat, ‘a man that is wise told me that the combination of power and irresponsibility in virtually any person is exceptionally dangerous. Sweeney is the proof that is quintessential of statement’s truth.’
Icahn shuttered the Taj Mahal last October after his company couldn’t come to terms with Unite Here Local 54, the casino union that represented the resort’s bartenders, wait staff, cooks, housekeepers, and other service employees.
During Icahn’s negotiations with the local workers union, Sweeney introduced legislation that sought to block casino owners from reopening venues they ‘substantially closed’ for the minimum of five years. The bill was unquestionably fond of the billionaire, who many believed had been scheming to resurrect the Taj in 2017 clear of union agreements.
